I want to express my thanks to the many people who have helped lift me up to where I am today:

  • my parents, who first home-schooled me;
  • my piano teacher, Miss Patti Bennett of Music By Patti in Buford, Georgia, who set my first steps on the path of music and became my own personal musical "Anne Sullivan"--she was willing to take the risk of teaching piano to a blind child, something she had never attempted before, and took me from the very beginning up to the pinnacle of winning national music awards, making possible my entry as a Music Major into Mercer University;
  • my beginning organ teachers -- Karen Bunn, Dr. Barbara Salter, Dr. Jens Korndoerfer, and Dr. Graham Purkerson---who helped me fall in love with the King of Instruments;
  •  all the wonderful faculty, staff, and students at Mercer University in Macon, especially my Organ Professor and Director of Townsend-McAfee Institute of Church Music and Chairman of the Keyboard Department, Dr. Jack Mitchener; my Piano Professor, Dr. Ian Altman; and the former Dean of Townsend School of Music, Dr. C. David Keith.
  • My previous church family at Berean Baptist Church in Lilburn,Georgia, who have upheld me with their love, encouragement, financial support, and prayers;
  • My current church home of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Alexandria, who support me daily with their love and encouragement;
  • MOST of all, my humble thanks to God, who does all things well, who supplies all my needs by His riches in glory, whose grace is sufficient, and whose power is perfected in my weaknesses. (II Cor. 12:9)
